A Cure for Tinnitus Maybe Within Earshot!

A company set up by a physics student at Edinburgh University is preparing to launch a clinical trial to see if its cure for the condition can also be used to treat a more serious permanent ringing in the ear. The therapy has been invented by Eimear O’Carroll, plays low-frequency sounds which ‘raises’ tiny flattened hairs within the ear – the chief cause of Tinnitus.
