ACUMEN APPOINTED TO PROMOTE THE UK’S FIRST HOLISTIC LOW CARBON ENERGY FACILITY
Acumen is delighted to be working with Holistic Energy, a Glasgow-based specialist in Environmental Impact Assessments for large-scale infrastructure and redevelopment projects.
It has now completed a feasibility study to create an ambitious, large-scale low carbon energy village to be built on a purchased 40hectare (99 acre) site close to the existing Peterhead Power Station in Aberdeenshire.
It has now piloted and completed a feasibility study to bring forward a plasma gasification plant with the potential to significantly decarbonise the entire energy system in the Peterhead area of Aberdeenshire. This will be Scotland’s (and the UK’s) first large-scale Low Carbon Energy Village
This ‘visionary’ facility set to spearhead The Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan for the transition to a low carbon Scotland.
Moreover, It will deliver between 150-200 megawatts of green energy and create around 1500 jobs during the build and construction phase while a further 250 permanent jobs will be created when the ‘energy village’ is complete around 2026/2027.
Our media coverage for the feasibility phase launch announcement was extensive. You can catch some of that here….
